Internal Applicants Only Operates computer using the Highway Maintenance Management System (HMMS) system to maintain inventory control of materials issued and received in stockroom. Initiates job sheets on state equipment submitted for repairs using the HMMS system. Answers the telephone and radio to give messages or service calls to proper personnel. Maintains records on equipment for preventative maintenance programs. Prepares periodic and annual inventory records. Serves as credit card user for purchase of shop materials. Performs other related duties as required by supervisor/Resident Maintenance Engineer. May be required to work during emergency operations such as snow/ice removal, hurricanes, etc.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and one (1) year of work experience directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
