AnMed Health Billing Specialist - Customer Service in Anderson, South Carolina

The Billing Specialist in the Customer Service department serves as the first line of contact for patients of AnMed Health. Billing Specialists are expected to be the primary point of contact, by phone, voice mail, email or face to face, for patient concerns, questions, or complaints regarding hospital and professional billing. Responsiblities include following the proper communication channels to resolve issues and relay information obtained back to patient/guarantor to ensure AnMed Health has addressed all issues in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications: High School graduate or GED required. Secretarial skills required. Prior electronic and/or hardcopy billing preferred but not required. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful. Good Communication skills, both written and verbal required. Prior experience working with Government, State, and Commercial Insurance carriers helpful but not required.
