SC Department of Public Safety Trades Specialist V/HVAC Tech ***RE-ADVERTISEMENT*** in Beaufort County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities This position will properly repair, service and maintain all Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning Equipment of the College facilities, to include but not be limited to: Industrial Rooftop Multi-stage Units, Through-the-Wall Units, Split systems, Window Units, Heating Boilers and Chillers for three (3) college campuses. Duties and Responsibilities * Performs regularly scheduled quarterly preventive maintenance * Performs various maintenance functions * Troubleshooting, testing, repairing, replacing required parts as necessary * Provide technical consultation to the Director of Facility Management * Manage and maintain the Energy Management System (EMS) * Performs all other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor including some duties outside of normal working hours Minimum and Additional Requirements Required: Associate Degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning with (4) four years directly related work experience to include (1) one year in a supervisory capacity or a high school diploma and (6) six years directly related work experience to include (1) one year in a supervisory capacity. EPA approved Freon recovery certification. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
