Yulista Holding, LLC Aircraft Mechanic II in Beaufort, South Carolina
This position is pending contract award.
This mechanic maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty and repairs and maintains aircraft components including but not limited to: Flight Controls, Engines, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Fuel Systems, and Mechanical Components.
• The mechanic will apply technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation. • The mechanic will apply technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as: • Blueprints, Technical manuals, Schematics, Publications, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manuals • The mechanic will perform corrosion prevention and treatment in accordance with (IAW) governing directives. • The mechanic will detect, identify, report, treat and prevent various forms of corrosion IAW applicable directives of assigned squadron aircraft and within the Corrosion Control Facility. • Other duties as assigned
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• The mechanic must possess a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts. • This position requires a broad knowledge of electrical theory. • The mechanic must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as: o Test Equipment, Torque Wrenches, Dial Indicators, and Micrometers • This position requires working knowledge of technical publications. • The mechanic may receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. • The mechanic will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. • The mechanic must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
• Have a minimum of four (4) years of F/A-18 aviation maintenance experience • High school diploma or equivalent • Be qualified to examine, inspect, investigate, repair, and provide recommendations to the local Maintenance Control and/or government agency as required • Be highly qualified and technically competent in their assigned skill category • Be able to qualify as CDI or CDQAR in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) • Be required to obtain a Government Issued CAC with all applicable vetting protocols • Must be trained in and proficient with the NAMP or have an accredited Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate • Have a DOD Secret security clearance
