Job Summary:

Analyzes, evaluates, formulates and implements annual logistic plans, special and alternate plans, time-dominant deviations, policies, directives and studies related to logistical support for supported AFSBn Charleston mission responsibilities. Develops and sustains the means of meeting rapidly changing operational and functional requirements to satisfy dynamic mission requirements.


  • Performs duties and responsibilities that are common to most supervisory personnel.

  • Initiates, formulates, coordinates, publishes and updates the logistical plans supporting Maintenance, Operations, COSIS and Afloat execution.

  • Provides technical and functional-area coordination, analysis, and advisory services to the Project Management Office, Department Managers, and APS-3 staff.

  • Knowledgeable in automated information systems (AIS) related to maintenance, supply, and transportation (DEIS, FAS, DFAMS, DEPAS, SAMS IE, GCSSA, AFMIS, AIMS, etc.).

  • Plans, develops, and conducts program analysis to forecast and estimate maintenance, and supply logistic requirements and prepares reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc.

  • Conducts process audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001/2015 standards.

  • Develops processes and flowcharts to support process development and improvement meeting timeline requirements of the assigned missions.

  • Compiles functional area data, performs data analysis, and generates reports and graphic data representations utilized to assess capabilities, assess production throughput, and assess operations support.

  • Coordinates with and provides input to the Contracting Officer’s Representative to resolve problems relating to logistical support and to plan/position resources necessary to respond to changing mission requirements.

  • Reviews work procedures and processes to ensure contract compliance.

  • Develops overall work plans and procedures to meet contractual objectives.

  • Develops, maintains and evaluates logistic performance indicators.

  • Performs statistical and trend analysis to determine productivity and cost efficiencies.

  • Coordinates across Program elements in resolving logistical problems on supported operations.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree with correlated Civilian, Military, or Industrial Division level planning, operations and scheduling experience in an ISO 9001-2015 environment.

  • Experience:

  • 10 years general experience in management, investigative/causation research, technical ability or other professional work that demonstrates judgment, analytical ability, and general knowledge of logistic operations in a dynamic environment.

  • 10 years experience in a setting involving a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures dealing with Army Logistical Management within a structured ISO environment.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the logistics LIS in use with the ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience applying maintenance management processes relevant to Army Logistics, Maintenance and Supply operation - AWRDS, LMP experience a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate and harmonize diversified functions to provide overall efficient and effective operations across time-dominant mission requirements.

  • Demonstrated communication, analytic and problem-solving, team building and collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems quickly by determining appropriate courses of action and involving the correct personnel or functions is required.

  • Subject to government security investigation meeting eligibility requirements for access to classified information as required by the contract.

  • Operating within a Lean Six Sigma environment using Green Belt projects to achieve greater resource utilization efficiencies a plus.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries NACI to obtain a CAC. Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results. Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends and holidays.

Material & Equipment Directly Used:

  • Computers, software products, printers, and a working knowledge of a variety of test equipment used by the Quality Assurance Auditors.
