The Warehouse Lead ensures that product is properly received and shipped in an accurate, safe and timely manner. Warehouse Leads report directly to the Southeast Logistics Manager. The facility is located in North Charleston near the Charleston International Airport.

General Focus and Scope of Responsibility:

The Warehouse Lead accomplishes tasks, goals and objectives through professionally partnering with the Southeast Logistics Manager, where applicable. The Warehouse Lead may also, from time to time, provide supervision to temporary workers, as directed by management. The Warehouse Lead is empowered to involve the Warehouse Manager, when required, to ensure warehouse procedural compliance is achieved and sustained.

Inventory Management / Shipping / Receiving

On a day-to-day basis, lead quality control efforts to accurately inspect, identify, handle, consolidate, label, palletize and ship inventory per Company policy; promptly reconcile and report inventory discrepancies to management.

Prepare and build customized crates to ship all customer orders in an accurate, effective and timely manner.

Complete regularly assigned special loss control / physical inventory activities such as cycle counting, spot inventory checks and inventory research projects; review required reports and ensure validity of inventory documentation.


Sustain a clean, well-organized and attractive warehouse environment to enhance safety and increase employee productivity

Follow all Company safety requirements and safety training programs to achieve full compliance with Company requirements; immediately notify management of any concerns regarding safety, security, dangerous situations or potentially illegal or unethical activities

Personal Performance Management

Strive to achieve a working knowledge of, and maintain competency in, all essential job functions and related policies and procedures as well as any other tasks or duties as assigned by management

Provide professional and positive customer service whenever interacting with the public, including face-to-face, telephone, written, fax and e-mail communications

Follow all Company policies and maintain Company standards as communicated in the employee handbook, in any training and orientation materials, or as communicated verbally or in writing the Warehouse Manager.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Warehouse Leads must demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency in communication, cognitive thinking and warehouse equipment operations, as well as the capacity to quickly learn any other skills required.Physical Demands

Physical requirements of the position include walking, standing, reaching, sitting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and bending on a regular basis; ability to speak and hear; ability to visually detect product color and shade variation; lifting up to 75 pounds (seek assistance when necessary); operating a forklift; operating overhead crane

Work Conditions

Work conditions for Warehouse Leads include working in enclosed warehouse spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet and dry weather; the work environment includes moving over and / or around obstacles on the ground, and working in the vicinity of operating forklifts.

Required experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 2-3 Years relevant warehouse or manufacturing experience is required

  • Minimum 1 Year in a position of Warehouse Lead

  • 2+ year experience working with forklift and overhead crane experience preferred but not required

  • Solid understanding of distribution environments, including inventory and warehouse operations.

  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting

  • 2+ year experience building crates and/or woodworking experience, preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
