POSITION SUMMARY:

Intermediate level logistics analysist to support operations for the AFCENT A6 at Shaw AFB, SC.

Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

AOR LOGISTICS COORDINATION AND A6 WAREHOUSE SUPPORT

The contractor shall establish a USAFCENT A6 forward commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) supply channel and maintain liaison with the military aerial port personnel. The contractor shall maintain inventory control of USAFCENT AOR assets.

LOGISTICS COORDINATION SQUADRON LEVEL

The contractor shall provide logistical support to the Government. This support shall include distribution, transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and documentation. The contractor shall coordinate with Government organizations and provide a working bench stock listing to ensure critical spare parts are available for non-stock listed COTS equipment.

USAFCENT A6X LOGISTICS COORDINATION

The contractor shall provide logistical support to USAFCENT A6. This support shall include:

  • Distribution, transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and documentation;

  • The contractor shall coordinate with Government organizations and provide a working bench stock listing to ensure critical spare parts are available for non-stock listed COTS equipment;

  • The contractor shall work through procurement channels using AF Form 9 and other methods to procure and maintain agreed upon levels of spare equipment. This listing shall be updated quarterly and maintained in a continuity book;

  • The contractor shall coordinate with the USAFCENT A6X sections to control project material, as directed, and materials necessary to support base infrastructure maintenance actions;

  • The contractor shall provide and ensure positive control of equipment and other materials, as directed by the USAFCENT A6 Division Chief or the designated representative.

  • The contractor shall support logistics management of Government-procured equipment for shipment, including palletizing equipment for air transport.

    MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

    The contractor shall be responsible for operating equipment during the execution of logistics coordination. This equipment includes:

  • Forklifts (up to 20K);

  • Flat bed, cargo box, and tandem trucks.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    Work will be completed in a climate controlled office setting. Some work will be conducted outdoors in a warehouse or other locations that may not be climate controlled.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

    Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing. Should be able to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications:

One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Associate degree or equivalent and two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Experience:

GENERAL

Intermediate level experience on enhancing product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Experience in creating and reviewing procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Intermediate experience with the following:

  • USAF logistics/supply protocols, procedures, forms

  • DoD and AF forms, including: AF Form 9 (Request for Purchase), AF Form 616 (Fund Cite Authorization), AF Form 4009 (Government Purchase Card), DD Forms 250 (Receiving Report), DD Form 448 (Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request), DD Form 1348-6 (Single Item Request)

  • Customer Authorization & Reporting Environment (CARE)

  • FEDLOG
