The Demand Analyst will ensure the efficient flow of customer orders to support on time delivery, reduce past dues, while maintaining customer priorities. This role is also responsible for organizing the customer orders as they come in and structuring the production schedule to meet customer demand. Builds out the facility capacity plan to maintain clear communication to customers/customer service/sales and operations on what orders are to be done when. Partners with Operations Management and DMS Leader to develop and communicate strategies to reduce lead times, with the intent of continuous improvement to achieve sustainable plant goals.
Drive plant OTD to >95% to customer request date thru improved lead times through effective capacity planning. Use DBS (Danaher Business system) process tools to ensure sustainable delivery results (key tools include (Visual Management, Standard work, Dynamic KANBAN, Heijunka Scheduling, etc.)
Develops a master production schedule to provide on time delivery of finished goods for customer orders. Reviews and updates accordingly based on capacity of the facility
Provide production lead times based on material lead times, production capacity and capability. Collaborate with essential functions that will assist in determining the appropriate response to the customer or sales entity
Coordinates with customer service, sales and operations so that all parties have a clear understanding of order completion dates and status
Identify thru PSP Kaizen opportunities to improve the Material system to drive the core metrics of OTD, Inventory and Cost. Develop Action plans to execute improvements
Must be able to work independently with little supervision
Effectively facilitates through conflict to ensure listening and adherence and support differences of opinions
Other duties as assigned
3 years of manufacturing materials experience including demand analysis and scheduling or a Bachelor of Science Degree with a minimum of 1 year experience
1 year experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies
A comprehensive understanding of production planning
Experience in Project Management
Strong MS Excel skills
