Position Summary : Must be responsible and able to be a team oriented associate, having communication skills, experience in reducing inventories, able to react to changing needs and a full commitment to achieve customer needs.
Manage buy process and inventory levels to service account needs and meet company goals. Work on keeping inventory at a 5 to 8 week level.
Verify when inventory is needed based on ship date, lead times, transit and other data provided by GPM system. (Planning System)
Consistently plan production to avoid peaks, valleys and gaps.
Monitor DC inventory levels to ensure order allocation without forcing and react to any excess or shortages. Goal is to ship 98% on time.
Weekly review of vendor wip report addressing any potential issues that could impact production flow.
Review inventory and determine excesses.
High School Diploma/3-5 years of experience in planning/manufacturing
Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
Strong organizational skills and communication skills
Ability to analyze and react to changing needs.
Understanding of apparel manufacturing.
