VASCOR Shipping Coordinator (2nd Shift) in Ladson, South Carolina

Position Summary

2nd Shift

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activity between transportation carriers, accessorization companies, MBUSA, and VASCOR to ensure customer expectations and corporate safety, productivity and budget goals are met.

Monitors outbound traffic from the plant, port locations, and dealers through delivery. Ensures standardization of processes and adherence to the VASCOR QMS system. Identifies and documents process improvement, and corrective or preventative action opportunities.

Position responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional and cordial relationship with customer, vendors and various VASCOR departments.

  • Assures local receiving and releasing related operations are functioning in accordance with established procedures and that customer service, shipping and budget goals are met.

  • Communicates exceptions and proactively resolves transportation problems.

  • Provides information to Yard Team Leader to ensure yard operations are supporting daily operational need.

  • Accurate data entry into VASCOR systems to maintain integrity of yard inventories, vehicle work orders, in transit and delivered inventory.

  • Follows up on in transit repairs through completion and delivery.

  • Gathers required documentation for system entry and processing of damage claims.

  • Provides reports to support internal and external operations and accounting functions.

Essential Skills and Experience


  • Associates Degree and/ or equivalent work experience is desired.


  • Demonstrated competency in MS office products including Excel, and Word.

  • Very good written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
