US Foods CHEF'STORE Receiving Lead - Myrtle Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Incumbent will spend 50% of work week supervising receiving function and employees and 50% working as stocker. While performing the supervisor role, Oversee, lead, and manage the stocking team in the orderly trailer unload, processing, and stocking of all inbound receipts. Ensure that the replenishment process is complete and that the store is always ready and in stock for the day’s business. Responsible for all aspects of the trailer unload and stocking process; including product placement, labeling, and organization of all top stock.

Responsible for all aspects of the trailer unload and stocking process; including product placement, labeling, and organization of all top stock.

  • Ensure that all incoming trailers are processed utilizing all company programs, SOPs, and procedures. Direct and lead the team to insure that all freight is processed by store opening to enable the best customer experience possible.

  • Ensure product is stocked in appropriate location; in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with food safety and First in First Out (FIFO) processes and procedures.

  • Ensure all overstock is stocked in the appropriate overhead location in accordance with all food safety and FIFO processes and procedures.

  • Monitor a variety of operational information on replenishment activity to ensure stock is available to minimize/eliminate the potential for “shorts”.

  • Maintain physical condition and safety of store equipment, including preparing work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment.

  • Perform operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.

  • Review daily sales report to understand products with no or low stock levels and takes correct action.

  • Ensure product deliveries received at the back are scanned correctly.

  • Ensure waste is recorded and disposed of correctly during their shift.

  • Audit product markdown program are followed on a timely basis.

  • Execute daily cycle counts on out of stocks and look for opportunities to improve by creating an action plan and communicating with store management.

  • Audit perishable areas both on the sales floor and receiving for ordering accuracy.

  • Audit 50 blaster tag and catch weight items for accuracy on a daily basis.

  • Review store credits received from distribution center.

  • Ensure that all weekly rotations are completed through the audit process.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Stocker Duties:

  • Provide customer service as required by customer demands.

  • Operate reach truck and pallet jack in a safe manner.

  • Maintain established inventory levels on store shelves by moving stock in receiving and delivering items to the sales floor.

  • Assist truck drivers making deliveries to the store including checking in and counting merchandise received and directing the merchandise to the proper location.

  • Ensure products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available.

  • Separate merchandise for products that are received and need in-store labeling. Follow proper procedures for weighing when required, and properly labeling this stock before it is put out on the sales floor.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from shelves.

  • Adhere to and fully support all policies, processes, and procedures of the Company.

  • Ensure that signage is changed as needed.

  • Assists in inventory and procedural audits when necessary.

  • Communicate with management on stock shorts, overages, and damages to correct problems and to reduce customer shortages

Qualification/Education

· Education/Training: High School or equivalent work experience required. College degree preferred.

· Related Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a receiving, retail or warehouse environment required. Previous lead experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : Must possess strong planning and solid organizational skills. Must exhibit the strong desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service, and build professional relationships with the client base, maintaining a strong, consistent customer focus. Must possess the keen ability to think quickly and critically, making good, solid business decisions and demonstrating good common sense and the ability to think logically. Must maintain excellent leadership skills, be highly motivated and self-driven, and possess solid communication skills and negotiation skills. Must maintain the adaptability and the willingness to assist in accomplishing the job every day, ensuring that every necessary task is completed to offer the customer fast, easy and efficient, and professional service. Must maintain strong business awareness and an ability to review and interpret financial data. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule that is primarily on nights but may include early mornings, holidays and/or weekends. Must possess and exhibit competency and proficiency with computer applications and Microsoft programs.
