Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Supply Chain Improvement , you will analyze business processes and collaborate with assigned business units to implement operational improvements. You will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in this high visibility role by designing and implementing new material flow systems and processes.

In this role, you will be trusted to:

  • Design and implement material replenishment processes to exceed safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives for the business

  • Lead improvements in material replenishment activities such as labor balancing, component picking / kitting, material handling and process sequencing to optimize material flow within warehouse and manufacturing operations

  • Define processes, workstation layout and packaging design to meet Plan for Every Part (P.F.E.P.) requirements

  • Develop and implement information flow / process sequencing improvements such as barcode scanning and wireless technologies within warehouse and manufacturing operations

  • Facilitate part replenishment value stream mapping activities to define kaizen improvement plan

  • Develop and implement Operator Standard Work adherence program for material replenishment activities

Qualifications

Position and Skill Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or related technical discipline

  • A3 Problem Solving

  • Lean Transformation

  • SAP, Simulation methodology, statistics, logistics and AutoCAD

  • Demonstrated work experience must include warehousing and part replenishment process design

  • Familiar with Industrial Engineering concepts related to Warehouse Management Systems and Logistics

  • Six Sigma Blackbelt certification preferred

  • Lean certificates preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and MS Visio
