Tidelands Health RN Special Projects Specialist in Pawleys Island, South Carolina
Position Summary: The RN Special Project Specialist is responsible for the coordination of programs and/or projects designed to improve coordination of care across the organization. Example of responsibilities include: Responsible for supporting the quality initiatives with an emphasis on Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) programs. Analyze past performance, identify opportunities to improve performance, close identified gaps in care, support electronic workflow development and education to maximize performance. Measure, monitor, and coordinate performance for governmental and commercial payor programs.
Adheres to all safety policies in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
Coordinating project schedules, resources, and information.
Assigning tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
Liaising with stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives.
Monitoring project progress and handle any issues that arise
Identifying risks and help eliminate blockers.
Analyze and coordinate performance improvement for HEDIS Programs.
Support the development of a customized plan to meet CMS and private payer quality incentive metric guidelines.
Guide improvement activities and workflows to optimize performance.
Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Current RN licensure in good standing with South Carolina Board of nursing required.
Ability to work independently, adjust priorities often and establish rapport quickly.
Demonstrated experience in diplomacy and ability to contribute to team goal setting and program development.
Proficient PC skills and experience with Windows and Microsoft office programs required.
Incumbent must be able to think and act effectively in a high stress environment and handle several tasks simultaneously.
Requires excellent written/oral communication skills, human relations skills, organizational skill, critical thinking skills and management abilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
