SC Department of Public Safety Administrative Specialist I/DOAS/Vehicle Management in Richland County, South Carolina
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health Crafts-Farrow, 7901 Farrow Rd, Columbia, SC 29203.
In this position, you will provide administrative assistance to the Department of Mental Health (DMH) Vehicle Management Branch on a day-to-day basis in support of the agencies operational management of State owned vehicles.
You will serve as the Vehicle Management Customer Service Representative. In this role you will be responsible for answering the phone and email inquires.
Assists in DMH fuel invoicing and reconciliation process. Submits invoices for payment, generates department Reconciliation Receipts, delivers center invoices, tracks department and center responses, and reports progress to supervisor.
Responsible for all Accounts Payable submissions.
Serves as department P-Card holder and processes/places all orders as required by management. Maintains adequate levels of office supplies and orders supplies as needed. Acts as staff meeting scribe. Ensures office equipment is in good working order and reports issues to supervisors as requested.

_State Requirements: _There are no minimum training or experience requirements for this class.
*_Facility Requirements:_ * A high school diploma or GED and one (1) year work experience in MS Office Suite and database software. A valid South Carolina driver's license. Must have one (1) year driving experience without a moving violation. Must not have two (2) or more motor vehicle accidents/incidents regardless of fault, as the operator of a vehicle in the past three (3) years. Will be required to drive on a limited basis.

The selected candidate must have the ability to operate a SC State vehicle. Also, must be able to sit, stand, squat, kneel, crawl (as needed), climb steps unassisted in order to perform duties and lift up to 35 pounds. Should have knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; knowledge of policies, laws and procedures for utilization; processing, maintenance and storage of vital records and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
