SC Department of Public Safety HMW II Medium Equipment Operator (61033357) in Richland County, South Carolina
Operates a tandem dump truck while performing duties necessary to repair and install signs on roads and bridges in the state system. Performs duties each day, such as loading and unloading signs as needed and pavement markings when needed. Assists in maintaining proper traffic control while maintenance operations are in progress. Works as required or as necessary during hazardous weather or other emergencies to ensure safety of motoring public. Assists in the installation of pavement markings.
This Position is located at District 1 Richland Maintenance.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Two (2) years of related work experience; or an approved acceptable*equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.Necessary Special Requirement: Requires a Class A Commercial Driver'sLicense (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position.*
