Elite Home Care Transportation Specialist - Spartanburg, SC in Spartanburg, South Carolina

Elite Home Care is a non-medical home care company specializing in helping seniors to remain independent in their homes. We currently provide services in Spartanburg, Greenville, Greer, Anderson, Union, Lyman, Inman, Gaffney and surrounding areas. Caregivers are placed with clients in their areas, within the availability they provide to our scheduling department!

  • Retirement plan General Description & Primary Job Functions

The Transportation Specialist’s primary function shall be to transport the Members to and from the Center in a safe and lawful manner on a daily basis. It is the responsibility of the Transportation Specialist to perform a daily check for signs of wear or potential maintenance issues on the Bus and report these to the Center’s Administrator as soon as possible. The Transportation Specialist shall be responsible for maintaining adequate levels of fuel in the Bus at all times and notifying Administration when fuel is needed, well in advance so that payment can be arranged. It is the Transportation Specialist’s role display a high level of customer service greeting Members and Responsible Parties as Members are picked up and dropped off. Barring unforeseen events, it is the duty of the Transportation Specialist to keep the route moving along in order to adhere to the daily published schedule. The Transportation Specialist shall maintain a cell phone for communication to the Center when in route, but only used when the Bus is parked. There shall be no texting or talking on the phone to any person while actively transporting Members on the Bus.

Secondary Job Requirements

  • The Transportation Specialist may from time to time be called upon to provide transportation of a Member to an MD appointment, if coverage cannot be obtained by Elite Home Care. If such transportation is required a company car will be provided to complete this transportation. Work Experience & Education Requirements

  • Experience with bus transportation for people including those with compromised mobility requiring transportation within wheelchairs (required) * Complete an orientation with the Center’s Administrator to the Bus and all applicable equipment and functions (required) * High School or GED equivalent (required) * CDL license (preferred) * Experience in working around older adults (preferred) Experience:
